CIBA Foundation Provides Another $2,000 Grant - Dec 2006

The Central Indiana Bicycling Association Foundation decided in their December grant committee meeting to provide a $2,000 grant to the Vandalia Trail for the second consecutive year. This grant will be used to help improve the cyclability of the trail around the treatment plant near the trail's midpoint. Currently, the narrow footpath cut into the sideslope in this area requires that riders dismount for about 100 yards. This work will be done very near the scenic Crittenden Creek Trestle that was opened in 2006 as a trail bridge for pedestrians and bicyclists funded primarily by the previous $2,000 grant from the CIBA Foundation in 2005.
