New Equestrian Trail Segment in Amo

A Hendricks County Parks crew and volunteers from Friends of the Vandalia Trail partnered to launch on August 10 construction of a new section of the equestrian trail within the town of Amo, extending the separate dedicated path from the west edge of town to Vine Street. Many thanks, also, to the town of Amo for making this space available, providing a better trail experience for all users. The Hendricks County Parks crew completed the pathway construction the following week.

The following photos show the current status. The most recent update was the addition of the fencing and short retaining wall features in November on the culvert bypass near the west edge of town. Additional landscaping and fencing as well as a smoother trail surface will be installed during the coming months. We will use this photo page to keep you updated on the progress of this new section.
